Rod Stewart has been left heartbroken after his brother Bob died aged 88, just two months after he lost his other sibling Don.
The singer, 77, took to Instagram on Wednesday to confirm the sad news, revealing Bob passed away on Tuesday night.
Describing his late siblings as 'irreplaceable buddies', Rod said he has 'lost two of my best mates in the space of two months' as Bob 'joins Don on the great football pitch in the sky'.
Sir Rod wrote in tribute: 'It's with great sadness that I announce the loss of my brother Bob last night, who joins my brother Don on the great football pitch in the sky.
'I've lost two of my best mates in the space of two months. RIP Don and Bob 'irreplaceable buddies' Sir Rod Stewart'.
Rod was inundated with condolences from his followers, with Piers Morgan writing: 'How sad… deepest condolences to you all. RIP Bob.'
Another fan wrote: 'So very sorry for your loss Deepest condolences to you and your family.'
Another Instagram user added: 'Sorry for your loss, Rod. My grandparents were friends with your parents, Rod. My nan told me that Don had a lovely voice. RIP.'
