Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their baby, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, on May 30, 2023. Ernest's birth was kept private for a week before the announcement was made on Instagram. He was born at the Portland Hospital in London, just like his older brother.
The name Ernest pays tribute to both his late grandfather, Jack's father George, and Princess Eugenie's father Major Ronald Ferguson. Additionally, the name is a tribute to Ernest, the middle name of Princess Eugenie's great great great grandfather, George V.
