The prosecution service reported on its Facebook page early Friday that Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev attended the 71st National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. “The National Prayer Breakfast establishes friendships in the interest of the family of democratic countries,” the prosecution service said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a video address to the participants of the event. Other speakers at the event included King Abdullah II of Jordan, his wife Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, as well as Pakistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The prosecution service’s Facebook post includes photos of Geshev with Jim Slattery, a Democrat who served in the House of Representatives from 1983 to 1995. Geshev also spoke with Republican congressman Pete Sessions.
